One grandmother and her husband intentionally try to make the most out of their time with their grandkids. Caring grandparents are a benefit to the kids’ parents simply through their involvement, but this couple took it further.

They began scheduling cousins’ weekends at their house – no parents allowed. Of course, depending on how many cousins there are, this could get rather involved.

But this is a great way to not only make a difference in the grandkids’ lives, but also invest in healthy marriages of the parents. As I’m sure you might guess, their grown children deeply appreciate those weekends.

I encourage you to take the initiative and pick a day or a weekend. Your children and their spouses probably don’t get away together as often as they should.

Remember, there’s plenty more great tips and encouragement on our website.
